Human Rights Policy

 

Non-Discrimination Policy:

It is the policy of Christ the King Manor to admit and to treat all residents without discrimination based on race, religion, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual preferences, diagnoses, severity of condition, or source of payment.

Christ the King Manor will assign rooms within the facility without regard to race, religion, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual preferences, diagnosis, severity of condition, or source of payment, or any other criteria prohibited by law. Accommodations are assigned consistent with bed availability, the medical condition of the resident, and other required needs.

There is no distinction of eligibility for, or in the manner of providing, any patient service provided by or through Christ the King Manor. All facilities and services of the Manor are available without distinction to all residents and visitors regardless of race, religion, national origin, disability. marital status, sexual preferences, diagnosis, severity of condition, or source of payment or any other criteria prohibited by law.

All persons or organizations that have occasion to refer patients for admission or recommend Christ the King Manor are advised of and required to do so in compliance with this policy.

Our admission policy adheres to the regulations and provisions of such laws as Department of Health, Education and Welfare Act of 1973, Section 504; Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of 1955, as amended February 28, 1961. This includes applicable Regulations of the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare.
